World War ended

Every August, many Japanese and people around the world have August 15th ingrained as the day World War II ended and the day Japan surrendered.
This day is now called Shusen-Kinenbi, and many events are held in Japan on this day to memorialize those who died in the war.

All this is because the 6th is the anniversary of the Hiroshima bombing, the 9th is the anniversary of the Nagasaki bombing, and the 15th is the anniversary of the end of World War II.

I heard many young Japanese people don't know that Japan lost World War II. I guess "End of the Pacific War Day" doesn't sound right. Why don't we call it "Defeat in the Pacific War Day" instead.

We  make war that is not repeated again!
